god I've been to malibu and it sucks. I had to walk a mile to the beach cuz the freaking mansions blocked it off like it's their private backyard or some shit.

Ok. This one is the best mermaid book I’ve read in a while. That’s not a hard bar to surpass but it has me intrigued enough that I know I’m going to finish and I’m talking to the characters lol.

Off to a promising start. Dialogue isn’t too cringe and we already have mermaids, swimming, and a unique culture. I won’t get my hopes up but it’s better than I expected already. 👀

I read “siren” in the description, so I have to read it. Will probably regret it later lol
