And it would make sense with him. I just wonder why and how and for what. So many questions. Is the Band of the Hawk still out there? And if so where are they? Did Griffith sacrifice them all? I think he’d only have to sacrifice one and he chose Guts. I wonder if he chose him knowing that he can survive it. Griffith is really tough to read. I can’t wait to continue reading! What a wonderful story!

I cannot wait to continue reading! There’s two more chapters left in the Battle for Doldrey storyline. Doldrey is such a cool name! And Guts is doing great! I keep wondering when will things go downhill. Griffith said that the Behelit will give him the world in exchange for his blood and flesh or something like this. I wonder if his flesh melted away, we’ve only saw him in armor in the present timeline.

Casca should’ve taken Aron’s head and be done with it. He’s insufferable!

Sending Casca with her unit to take the stronghold while they’re all out is genius! Griffith made sure the lead the Band of the Hawk and for the enemy to see him! He was betting on it! He used himself as bait and it worked! What a mastermind. And the dust storm helped conceal Casca and her unit! But Adon is still there! I hope that she absolutely destroys him! She needs to!

Guts is so good! And Griffith is so magnificent.

General Boscogn looks formidable

And that guy Adon needs to go. I’ve had with the secret techniques of his damned Coborlwitz family. Kassatsu Jizau (playing dead) made me laugh. It was such a Jojo’s thing to do.

That creep is such a piece of shit. And he told General Boscogn to not kill Griffith and bring him alive before him. I’m afraid that Griffith will fail this time and it’s lead to all the mess. They’ve been talking too much about how he’d never lost a battle.

And only with the Band of the Hawk! at first I thought that he’s trying to distinguish himself more by achieving the impossible feat but now that I know that creep (Governor-General Gennon, Supreme Commander of the Chuder Empire’s northern battle front) is the Supreme Commander there it is personal. I like Sir Laban (which of course I read as لبن) he seems reasonable. Sir Owen too.

The plot thickens! So Chuder empire invaded Midland and took the fortress of Doldrey, which is an impregnable stronghold that was pivotal for the defense of the border. And now the Holy Purple Rhibo Knights led by The Valiant General Boscogn occupy it! The White Tiger Knights (of Midland) tried and failed to capture. As many before them did in the past one hundred years. And now Griffith volunteered to do it!

And is Guts really leaving the hawks after this campaign?

I liked the conversation between Guts and Casca. It was nice.

I love Judeau, Pippin, Rickert and Casca! I love them so much. If anything happened to any of them I’ll rage quit. Judeau said that he used to work for a traveling entertainment troupe and an elf gave him this medicinal powder “elf dust” is it Puck? And it is fascinating that Casca didn’t believe him at first. How did magic come into the world again in the present timeline. It is interesting!

I’m so glad that Casca has stabbed that piece of shit in the eye at least before the rest of the Band of the Hawk kill him and the others with him. I hate this.

I love Guts! “A sword returns to the sheath, right?” I love this. I hope that this will mend the reach that’s been there since the beginning between them. I’m sure it will. I love them so much!

Guts is such a troll. But he means well. I have a feeling that he’s already fallen for Casca. Casca is so cool! Snatching that sword before it fell to the ground and taking her attacker’s head with it in one fell swoop was so smooth! I really love the fight scenes. I wonder if Griffith will come back for them.

Does Griffith really know about the sacrifice? It feels like it will come down to a choice between Casca and Guts. It feels like Casca was the one he has in mind to be sacrificed. That’s all just guessing but I feel like I’m right. Will he hesitate? Or will Guts protect Casca? Why Guts? I have so many questions. Seeing Casca and Guts fight together is so cool! What a powerful duo!

This chapter gives us yet another glimpse into Griffith’s character, it is interesting to see him through Casca’s eyes. I wonder if that changes how we look at him. It surly does. The scene at the river was so good. Yet another parallel to Guts hurting himself. But for different reasons I thinks. This whole thing is tragic.

What is Griffith’s dream? It cannot be to turn into a demon. It absolutely cannot be that. Then what? Absolute power? But at what cost? He is willing to risk so much and so many to achieve it I can’t help but wonder what exactly does he want. I hope that vile old man did get his comeuppance or else I’d be furious. I feel bad for the kids, and for Casca, and for Griffith, and for that little boy with the toy.
