It is well written, entertaining, and I love the fantasy woven with history and culture, but this book is not as riveting as the first. I am not as enthralled with the characters. I am still interested in seeing where Dr. Mire ends up, why the characters are after Dracula’s medallion, and why Dracula continuously seems 2 steps behind in the shadows throughout the story.
