The fun bits, especially about the cool alien animals, are murdered off by the tepid romance: "I love him. I hope he loves me, too. I love being with him. He is amazing. Can he always be mine? I hope so..." 😒

It's like she's some kind of a Disney princess, what with all these animals coming to her aid. 😂

In book 1, a lot of time was spent talking about how horses are unique to Earth. Then, as it turned out, they weren't, but the author still prattled on about the way horses are unique to Earth. Now, there are tons of horses on Utopia as well.
These small inconsistencies really get on my nerves.

Oh, Lord, that poor squirrel. 🐿️
At least spare the animals this snard-y travesty, heartless author. 😒

I TRULY despise all this detail about "snard". 🤢

Some of the inner monologue is unnecessarily repetitive. 😟

That whole slave issue got resolved quite easily.

That's two books in a row now where the banter has been incredibly childish. The author can't write conversations between characters as well as she writes her descriptions/set-up of scenes.

At least they took a little longer to declare mutual love in this book, as compared to book 1.

The fight scene is really good. If the author stops with the stupid sex scenes, the ridiculous 🍆 descriptions, and the insipid "romantic" banter, her stories can be really good.
The focus should be on the plot, not the cat-man 🍆.

Rafe's children aren't really his own, and the real father came by and stole them...?
