Status Updates From Supergirl, Volume 1

Finally done with this story. It started out so good and then went weird, and then the art went weird.

They are indeed catfighting. They just keep going back and forth without actually coming to a point or agreement. Women.

Is this who this red-haired guy has been? Captain Boomerang or the son of Captain Boomerang? Also, Nightwing does not know Kara half as well as he thinks.

The final story has an entirely different artist, which shifts the tone of the comic in a whole new direction. I don't like it. Shouldn't have slipped it in.

I had to read ahead to this part. High school drama was just cringe worthy. But I love all of their faces when they realize that the prank they pulled on "Claire" was actually Supergirl. Like, Supergirl was the new student and in their high school the whole time. Wild!

Oh $#!+. You brought in the heavy-set teen to make fun of her while she's all alone. Not cool.

"Cool Hand Luke"? Okay, you know that she is out of current events with a reference like that in high school.

I was trying to understand Malat (? [I'm not sure about the spelling]) but I think that the gist is that the Brain is missing and he's looking for him.

There are safety procedures when it comes to handling chemicals in a lab for a reason!

Everything that Supergirl has said on her first day of classes makes her like a total Mean Girls girl. Is that supposed to be the point? Because I don't find it funny.

Why? Why are we going this route with her? Seriously, high school? She looks old enough to be in college, at least. And I guess the brunette and glasses look is supposed to be her "Clark Kent."
Looking ahead, I see that they're going to abandon the current artist that has made everyone into eye candy for an artist that...doesn't do that. Ugh. If that's going to be the case, I might not get the later volumes.

Who's this guy with the red hair? Red Arrow? I thought he was with Cheshire or somebody.

The stories in this volume keep jumping around. I can't keep track of what's going on and where.

I'm just now noticing page numbers in this book. Most graphic novels don't have that. I see that in here there are pages that have no numbers, so I can see why I would be confused.
