Status Updates From The Hunger

I'm super busy, so reading this is taking awhile, but it's good so far :)

Really want to finish this, but I'm seriously too tired (normally I'm just getting started around 1 am, but I had quite a rough work week). Tomorrow morning I'm reading the last few chapters! Curious to see how this story will end

"The more I learn, the more I realize that I know nothing."

I like the chapters are as short as they are; I'm seriously flying through this book.

"Why didn't you tell us this from the beginning?" Azil asked. "You know that I hard or no love for the clans, but if one is going to completely alter the course of the entire world, he should at least be given proper notice in advance. I would have worn an ensemble at least twice as heroic. Perhaps even a cape."

Defitnely reminds me of The Final Empire, and I loved that book; so far so good!

"I say," Azil said, pointing to the fallen door. "That door cost me a great deal in bribes to smuggle it out of Keep Azura. It is quite valuable and could conceivably be reused. If you are going to slaughter me, kindly refrain from getting blood all over the door. Couldn't we settle this in some other way?"

I received an ARC of The Hunger from Future House Publishing and I'm so excited to start on this book, it sounds very interesting and right up my alley!

"Answer me this then. Are we truly relegated to a life after this one based on the decisions we make here. You ask me to choose between my loyalty to you, to Rahim, and my sister, my only family. Tell me will there be mercy for me if I choose amiss? Can you forgive me if my faith isn't strong enough?"

And the plot thickens..

A lot of action so far and finally some explanation on how different Sustenance functions magically. Exposition handled without info-dumping - which is a good thing.
