Ruth is the typical stuttering, lip-biting, virginal Harley ingenue. Zzz. But I like Hugo. He's a Man(tm) without being an obnoxious knuckle-dragger. There's no comparison between him & the nephew, imo.

Harlequin Rule: When your employer is 30-40 years old, rich, & even slightly sexually active in his lifetime, any reasonably attractive single heroine in her 20s who goes to interview for a job with said man is automatically labeled a skank by the hired help, because no single woman can work for a unmarried guy with a functional peen & *not* be a slutty ho.
