Finished the first book- I would agree with other readers that Joanna can be irritating, especially at first, but she does grow.

Lady Alicia so far has been an easier to relate to than the previous leading lady but am still far from cheering for her to get her HEA yet.

As the story ended in the expected HEA for Joanna have to admit she still has not managed to capture my sympathy for her ongoing silliness, despite her youth one would think that the warnings she was given about the nee'r-do-well villain would have caused her to exercise a bit more circumspection but they did not. However all ended as it should and the better man won the fair maiden.

Both books apparently were previous separate releases and have been bundled together to target a fresh audience of Historical Romance readers. So far Miss Joanna has not endeared herself to me but we shall see if that will change as I read further.
