I think it's a good idea (chapter two was really good), but the first chapter felt drawn out if not unnecessary, and there are a few too many plot conveniences (the crystal force predictor and the mental probe nub). Fun, but flawed. 2.75 so far

The blob races….. somehow I’m still super intrigued with this book! But the “blob races”…maybe I’m being harsh but that just seems so uninventive. I’m enjoying the ride.

This style of writing is reminding me a lot of Karpyshan. He and Anderson are amazing storytellers with average writing skills? They can’t write dialogue but the story is so compelling it almost doesn’t matter at all. They’re like the assistant coaches of writing. They should storyboard everything EU authors write😂

Mid so far. Written like a YA novel. The dialogue is ROUGH. Def holding out hope though! The story is compelling so far.
