The compare and contrast of death in war and death at home hits hards. Separately (somewhat), while I love a flawed character... wow, guys. That's certainly a choice! I don't know anyone that's read this book in my circle, so you get my running commentary, goodreads.

Ever since I learned lighthouse keeper was a job, I've always debated whether or not that'd be a good job for me. This book makes me think it would be. The Aussie humor is refreshing too- didn't realize how much I'd missed it.
