Status Updates From Napoleon: A Life from Begin...

The Napoleonic Code would reform everything from the banking system to which side of the road his citizens would travel on, with the latter enabling two-way traffic on city streets for the first time. In fact it is due to Napoleonic reform that most of us drive on the right side of the road to this day.

Well, except for the Brits and a few significant others.

I admire my many friends who book club it. It’s cool. But I must go where the winds blow. Wanting to read about 1812, Napoleon and Russia in greater depth I turned to a longer book than the one I’d read already. This caused me to want to read more about Napoleon. This essay will jumpstart me nicely, following up on my reading of Napoleon, A Short Introduction. Then the winds will blow me to a longer work.
