Here I was, talking with my magical tutors. We were... assembling a group to go into some kind of foggy alternate plane of existence to do battle against an evil necromancer and her minions and save a city. Like, what the hell? Just because I was living it didn't mean I hadn't been raised... in a world where 'magic wasn't real.' And the most surreal part about the whole thing was how comfortable I was with it.
