Status Updates From The Wedding Photographer

The book is great... This book made me find my lost love for reading. I completed it in a day and am left craving for more. The Author's writing style and comic timing are great. The unexpected puns at unexpected situation very funny. I loved Risha's character A strong, independent woman who can take a stand for herself. Her meeting with Arjun was no less of a f. The guy though skeptical is an absolute sweetheart.

Solid 3. Slight bumps for the good moments and entertainment value but overall outdated. There’s a lot exceptionalism and casual meanness. I didn’t like either mc too much. I would say they fell too fast. ( this is me always. Still believe I am right. Maybe others might like the pace). I liked some of the refs here and there. Overall The author has potential. If we got rid of side bashing I’d read her again.

Idk when whomever likes whomever they’ll embellish character. This whole worship of a scrupulous girl. Risha is not unscrupulous. She’s good but not for the reasons or logic he justifies when he finally *wakes up. That’s a neg. Also his dream girl is understanding and values his pov - trusts him. That’s the very thing he refused HER.

I am personally team Dhruv and would have dropped Arjun in a heartbeat. The whole run to her for going out with another guy is meh. He also has no sense of workers’ welfare. He took Risha’s good advice in the most shallow way. Like no one resolves a strike cuz of company game with a cricket celeb. Props to her for explicitly saying no more silent treatment. He’s not a catch

We’re having good moments but there are so many mean girl moments. This character of Karshima, Arjun’s ex. Like she didn’t need to be a villain and if she did, maybe not make her lowest wrung punching bag. It’s not just her. There are lot of crossfire casualties. People who get insulted in the middle to make our mc or their friends seem exceptional. Ex/ Everyone hates Karishma, soul deep flaw etc

But I did like Arjun being happy knowing Risha’s talking about him to her friends. That he has a shot.

Arjun deeply hates betrayal and is very skittish at the first hint of it. He’s just not hearing her out at all. No chance for explanation or trust in her—that’s a real issue. I like this hang up. I don’t think too highly of him still. Throwing things in anger (not at her). Also the grandma approval going over mom of R and R+his sis getting along is melting his heart is not for me. Too idyllic

This whole dislike of Risabh by Arjun is lot less innocent. I get he was misleading him but still very uncomfortable hearing Arjun use the term metrosexual in this manner. I get what the book is going for with Arjun’s contentious behavior but it’s not making him look good. I will credit that once they confess to be into each other their scenes get way better

Things have escalated fast to immature

I like the maybe I gave him too much credit problem. Suddenly it’s not just a cute meet cute but does x not think of us as equals cuz you’re my boss’s sib. But I think the coldness is bit transposed rather than shown. We know from his pov that he feels betrayed by her being a journalist. But nothing in his actions is cold yet Risha immediately takes it as so. I just thought it was a busy time.

This was written in 2016. Not like other girl syndrome.

I feel bad saying this but this is some of most undermining and just mean written so far. We have a evil flight attendant. She’s just not nice to our mc Risha. But you can write unsavory without denigrating her appearance. The love interest comments on the evil attendant’s extra makeup and tight clothing as not his type but instantly is attracted our mc.
