Screw it. I'm not interested in "Seeing Double". I'm skipping it and going to the next story. >:(

"Seeing Double" by Tom Crosshill is kind of confusing me, I'm not gonna lie.

Didn't really care for "Not In The Flesh". Science-fiction is a hard sell for me, and the rest of the anthology is just that. Still, I'll soldier on.

I entered into this contest last quarter, and I'm rather disheartened. My entry was a shot in the dark, and I recognize now that I could've done more for it. That isn't so much what gets me. It's that out of these 12 stories, only ONE of them is a fantasy based, non-scientific story. Everything else is very futuristic and speculative. Fantasy stories can be ground breaking too, can't they!?

Finished reading "Living Rooms" by Laurie Tom, and "The Black Side Of Memory" by Lael Salaets. I liked Living Rooms better. Next up is "Lisa With Child" by Alex Black.

Reading this for two reasons: Partly because I ought to read more fantasy and science fiction, and these are fairly recent works. Second, I'd like to get a feel of what the folks at the Writers of the Future contest are looking for in winners.
