7. One mother to another
- barely got through one sentence without having to take a break because I got so angry and annoyed.
- very self-centred, “look i’m a good person, this is how good i am and i need to write these letters. I know they might hurt someone but i have to.” No you don’t, you want to make yourself feel better and you could’ve not sent them.

A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy

Jillanne

A good exploration of the grief from a mother whose son participated in a murder-suicide, and how to reconcile grieving the suicide of the person you loved with condemning the crimes they committed.

There is a good bit of research done in this book to discuss suicide and violence prevention, and makes you consider different ways of approaching both. At times, the technical discussion is hard to digest, but worth it.
