He’s rude. Mitch is bossy, and does allow her to say a word. I can’t blame him too much on that one bc all she seems to say is “…um….”
There is no build up of attraction. We’re supposed to believe this guy who has a haram up women on a schedule coming to his apartment, is suddenly pining for a mousy woman who can only get a few words out at a time in his presence. Ha! Try fooling someone else.

Wtf is going on?? Now there’s suddenly a biker gang and mobsters involved?! I legit cannot stop rolling my eyes

So Mara is actually insufferable with her rating system and lack of ability to form complete sentences. Mitch is overall enjoyable but the way he bulldozes Mara is started to grate on me too. Like, can you let her make a single decision for herself, dammit! I’m so annoyed but somehow have to see it through because I’m already 3/4 of the way done with this book…

Mara’s insecurities are making her lowkey insufferable…but I’m holding out because of all her other good qualities and (of course) Mitch

I mean Mara is so me and all (and maybe that is the Mara Effect and it is why im about to say this when she has also said it about herself) but I have no idea why Mitch is so committed to this relationship with her to the extent he is willing to be a FATHER for those kids with her when it’s been canonically like a month and she is also cripplingly insecure with no substantial personality or massive achievements

Oh goodness things are picking up again 🫢

Why is this book taking me so long to read
