The move that Wallace relied on the most, the dunk, was banned in official games. Vanderbilt has won all of it's games so far in the varsity season but their going up against the top ranked teams next. Vanderbilt needs to be in tip-top shape and with Wallace's offence crippled without the dunk it's not looking good.

The Black students on campus came together to talk to the chancellor abour their problems and the chancellor listened. The black students have formed a group for blacks on campus and the group has been recognised by the faculty as a genuine part of the student body.

Wallace's and Dillard's freshman year at Vanderbilt is coming to an end and they have the decision to continue their education there or switch to a different school. They're both considering switching schools because of the way they are treated, but Vanderbilt wants them to stay.

Martin Luther King. Jr came to Vanderbilt to speak out against racism. He inspired many blacks in Nashville to not lie down and just accept racism. A riot formed in Nashville even though Dr. King exspressed how being violent won't solve anything in his speech, and he even called out black riots saying that they would only prove the racists right.

Wallace injured his groin at the start of the season and a doctor hasn't treated him. Wallace is getting sick of the racist treatment he is recieving, the lonieness he feels, and the sadness he has been feeling.

Perry Wallace has gotten over 100 offers from colleges across the states, but he wants to go to one where he will be accepted, and not bribed to go there. Perry got an offer from Vanderbilt, a college in Nashville, and he wants to go there. Perry doesn't want to be a pioneer or trailblazer, so he doesn't want to be the first black in Vanderbilt.

When perry was in high school some black people were prohibited to watch the players play. His parents bought him a black and white television for him to watch his new show. He had moved into a bigger home.

In kindergarten wallace went to an all black academy because they had segregated schools during his young period. He wanted his kids to have a equal life with other people instead of getting made fun of. The the supreme court V Board law had passed for school segregation to be illegal.
