This book is very appropriate for my reawakening of reading. The author is enamoured by words, she dissects them and puts them back together, like a gothic surgeons, reanimating a corpse, bringing life and meaning to the static and immobile.
She’s much better at it than I could hope to be. Words are her lifelong obsession. Her life and her loved ones are all at sea but words keep her grounded on land.

Relating a lot to the words on these pages, searching for meaning in stories, and unable to understand the story that I, myself am living.

Found this when browsing the lgbt+ library and feeling, myself abandoned.

A very beautiful style of writing and the first part drew me in.
