Having turned my mind away from philosophy for a while now, it's not like the questions that have been posited by and not sufficiently answered in my studies of Kant have gone away. What is the status of the transcendental ego in any epistemology serious about its own limitations? Well, maybe I should try to slog on through Fichte to see if the question promises some relief or becomes sharpened productively.
