Katie Foth is 20% done

The author narrates third-person with a storyteller's tone (lots of "telling" rather than showing). But her writing ripples with a charming snap and original turns of phrase. No explanation for why a young professional couple would buy a house sight unseen in a remote town that offers them no work, but I'm still intrigued.
