I get the same feel as the conclusion part of Devi Mahatmya - Vol III - In the banks of Vaitarani River!

I'm actually done reading and writing this book but didn't upload my review as I was taking a small break from GR. Soon I will post it, but before I do, I wanna put this out there:

This book is SO SEXIST

Values have become redundant, and people can no longer be bothered with virtue or little courtesies. They grow increasingly selfish and intolerant, looking for reasons to destroy one another while the great majority cannot be bothered with the lapses of their fellows, secure in the illusory comforts of a world that has shrunk to the extent of their shallow needs

True Indeed!

I like the writing a little bit but overall...

Off to a very bad start and has really put me off with some hard core SEXISM and RACISM!
Dunno what to think!

I think I just toured the underworld

a couple quotable thoughts: “unpalatable nugget of truth that needed to be washed down with laughter” yep that’s a thing! followed closely by “rough patch that was a microcosmic reflection of the foolish promise that was paradise”

I’m hooked already bcs

1) buttload - any author who composes characters who use this word with good humor gets an A for authenticity from me !
