Status Updates From Out of the Dark

😭 OMG... I just can't see this book having a happy they-avoid-the-rest-of-humanity's-fate-in-the-apocalypse type ending 😭

Have to give up. Can't deal with it a second longer. It's drawn out, too descriptive and the writing just doesn't flow for me. I can't form any kind of connection with the characters. And as descriptive as the writing is, it is too cold and detached.

So far I'm still interested but we'll see how r goes because the book is very very very descriptive. It feels tedious.

Wow... This is really hard to read and hard to put down! I'm so scared and sad for them but mostly for Lilly. I have two daughters, 6 and 3, and I can't imagine being in their situation! I have to choke back tears every time I imagine my girls being hungry and scared like that.
