Will aim for 100 pages but already inclined to DNF due to the blatant historical inaccuracies just in the first chapter.

Not a great start. The comparison to Dan Brown is appropriate, and not in a good way, since he, too, has a penchant for pairing middle aged men with stunning young women. Cringe.

Not good, definitely a difficult read. The development of characters so far feels disjointed, the setting of the locations aren’t established well, the dialogue and storyline is lackluster in moments when it should convey suspense. I’ve never been so harsh on a book, but that’s my thoughts…
