Overall I enjoy Ashlyn and Dillon's story, but there's also (as is typical of ARR) some very overly dramatic scenes and plot points. But yeah, overall I enjoyed it.

One aspect of this book, which I have never liked, are these sudden jumps in time right as the drama is happening. One moment they're at home, then she's suddenly been kidnapped, then she's free and in the hospital and everything is good again, all happening within, what, 10 pages? Sorry, but it throws me off, especially when these jumps aren't physically marked in the text with a space between paragraphs or the like

I totally agree with Ashlyn on this. Sure, her parents can be hurt that she didn't tell them that she got married, but to shun her like this? As if she had done something totally unforgiving? That's not okay. So yes, she 100 percent has a right to feel angry with her parents for having such a childish response to her news.
