IM HERE TO CLARIFY I GIVE IT 3.5 ⭐️ NOT 3. I AM NOT THAT DISSAPPOINTED IN THE BOOK. I actually enjoyed it in ways and I think the second book will be better. Don’t take anything I say negativity🥹🙏. I wish there was more plot but if we focus on the romance only that was like realllyyyyy good.

So I just finished the book and read the first chapter of the second book. I’m a bit dissatisfied with the way this book turned out, but I have decided to read the second book and i really really really hope it’s better than the second. Anyways first read of 2026!!!

-a real love triangle😬.

-The writting is beautiful though and the this that the characters say are so poetic and wise. I don’t know if I’m a picky reader now since my last two reads were my favorite book series(The Jasad Heir and This Woven Kingdom). I’m sorry I’m really trying to enjoy this but I’m struggling. I might continue the series if the ending is good. Hoping Tariq doesn’t come into the picture again and make it-

-The world has barely been explored and we have learned Khalid’s secret. It’s still really boring there’s magic in this world and I’m pretty sure Shazi has it but for some reason it’s not the focus because this book is straight up romance🙄. Had I known the book would turn out like this I doubt I would pick it up.-

-The dagger scene was really nice though. The ml is so cute and the fl is amazing. I just feel like the story barely progressed as it went on. We have only really explored the romance part of this story not the fantasy part and it’s bothering me. There are no stakes and the fl cannot fight for herself. She is a really good archer, but only had one opportunity to show her skills in a real life situation.-

The romance is really cute, but I have started to realize that I’m really bored with this story. The characters have so much potential and there could be so much more, but the entire story is Shahrzads denying herself the want to love Khalid because of what happened to Shiva. I understand, truly, but I am sooooo bored. Like I said the romance is amazing and cute but it could be so much more.-

Oh my oh my. He said “Your are not mine… I am yours”. I’m getting a twang of Cyrus in these confessions. The book is starting to pick up, someone sent hitmen after Shahrzad and Khalid was angryyyyy. It was a sight for sure 🤭. Also Tariq is going to mess everything up and he doesn’t truly love Shahrzad. Like Omar said, he’s only in love with their shared moments not her.-
