Too much anti-fatness already. At one point she describes how she didn’t appear obviously pregnant until month 5 so she told everyone she met because she “didn’t want them to think she ate too many pies”. Demonization of weight gain is never cool, but in a book about pregnancy it just seems so bizarre to me. Like, you’re growing another human. Chill.
