Status Updates From El corazón de las tinieblas

I can see why this is considered a challenging read. Not just for the explicit, mature content, but the unique narrative and writing style. The stream of consciousness paragraphs, that can go on for multiple pages, are jarring at first, but so very rewarding. The deeply rich descriptions of the untamed jungle environment and the effects it has on the characters, both native and “civilized,” are fascinating.
