I'm at the point in my life where I no longer need to finish a book out of sheer bullheaded-ness and the whole "never leave a book un finished" mantra. Captive of the Hitman didn't pull me in and possibly a WILL not finish but at the very least shelved for quite a bit. I have thousands of books to read and rather not continue with a book I'm not feeling when I can move on to something I might enjoy.

This book is okay so far. The sex scenes have been steamy and I do like the action. My one problem is the insta-INSTA love. Although I'm not a huge fan of it, I don't mind it and won't turn away from it if it's a good read. It has to be believable, and I don't really feel that with this book. Mikhail literally went from stone cold, ruthless, no women ever to calling Alicia his girl in just a few chapters. Ehh

I finally settled on the next book for the Halloween reading challenge. I had to venture into darker romances to look for a romance with a murderer. In the first two chapters I was shocked, disgusted, angered and intrigued, and I would have shut my eyes if not for the need to read. I hope the tempo keeps going.
