Status Updates From A Separation

Enjoying, but hate all the run-ons. Feels like she’s going for Elena Ferrante, but those run-ons were used judiciously, to increase the pace. (Do they read the same way in Italian, or were they imposed by the translator to approximate an effect that doesn’t work in English?) This is a contemplative book; it doesn’t need that. The constant runons just make it feel undifferentiated.
