deceased about Sarah Farro, whose novel excerpted here (True Love) is about white people in England. The editors note that though her work sold well, she disappeared in the historical record because she didn't discuss racial issues. And, they helpfully add, her "American sensibilities" are occasionally on display as she uses dollars instead of pounds for her Victorian characters. (she needed a Britpick!)
