Reading Hardwired, chapter IV.

As Sarah left the hospital, she booked a cab for her departure. She exited to a back alley, peaking left and right for any bounty hunters. The cab arrived, and she flung into it. There was a car following her, and she knew she was being hunted. She told the driver to go to Venice, the sinking district. In there, Sarah entered a flooded apartment foyer, luring the soldiers inside.

Reading Hardwired, Chapter IV.

The narrative shifted back to Sarach. She stood in the corner of the waiting room of the hospital. Since Duad's condition required an enormous amount of money, she was dying for a new gig. Her hetman, Michael, had a job set up for her. It would be staying in a panzer to keep Michael's cargo safe. She could only accept it. This might be the set-up for the meeting of Cowboy and Sarah.

Finished Hardwired, chapter III.

Cowboy found out there were lots of aircraft waiting at the airport nearby for his panzer to show up. So he decided to take the initiative and crash the party. He crushed and folded numerous planes with his panzer, and he left with a major victory. He arrived at his destination in Kentucky. In his panzer, he made up his mind and was determined to find out who was behind Arkady.

Reading Hardwired, chapter III.

Cowboy tricked the coleopter to run with him at full speed. He slammed in his thrust reversers, the coleopter uncontrollably got ahead. And Cowboy launched missiles, blasting the coleopter to pieces. Cowboy found a long, narrow barn to rest and prepare for the final lunge. There was a pair of a boy and a girl there. He left them some food and drinks before he slumbered in his panzer.

Reading Hardwired, Chapter III.

Cowboy entered a rectenna forest. In there, he fired a chaff rocket, which is composed of aluminium strips which are implanted with a minichip that would play back any radio signal it receives. The chaff decoy confused the hell out of the privateers. Much later, a helicopter was closing in on him, so he shot it down. But his comrade, a coleopter, locked onto its tail like a tiger.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter III

When the Cowboy hit the border of Missouri, the pulsing radars questing out from it. A coordinated diversion was planned by Arkday. Panzerboys hit the plains, tearing through fields in zigzag patterns. Cowboy found a blind spot from the flying radar arrays overhead. He tried to sneak past them through it. But new sensors arrived aloft, so he had to move fast to remain undetected.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter III

Cowboy stripped naked and stuck electrodes to his arm and legs, ensuring his muscles would be exercised by the electrodes to keep the blood flowing. The panzer howled and started its journey to Mississippi. He knew the Privateers were waiting over there, Arkday called, letting him know that he would be in the sky with him. He gave the green light to Cowboy to give them hell.

Reading Hardwired, chapter 3.

Cowboy and Arkady, the thirdmen, stood together, waiting for the panzer to be prepped. The Dodger strolled to them, telling Cowboy to make sure it was trimmed. Cowboy hopped in through the dorsal hatch and plugged into the system. After he made sure everything was ready. He put his head up the hatch, starting to think that maybe he was just a dupe, used by the orbital blocs.

Finished Hardwired, chapter II.

After Sarah transferred the data into a liquid crystal cube in the Princess's room. She left for The Plastic Girl. There, she traded the cube for the drugs Cunningham promised her. She was satisfied with them. After that, she went home, but Cunningham's employer tried to assassinate her with a shaped charge. They failed; however, her brother was seriously injured and hospitalised.

Reading Hardwired, chapter 2.

Sarah and Princess hopped in the car, taking it to Princess's place. In her room, Sarah perped Weasel for the kill. She pressed her mouth to Danica's. Weasel stoke, telescoping from its hiding place in Sarah's throat and chest, forced its way down her throat. Tearing its way out, it sought the heart and shredded it. The Princess stopped struggling, and her eyes grew cloudy and died.

Reading Hardwired, chapter II.

As Sarah stepped out of the toilet, she spotted Princess coming into the club. Surrounded by dirtboy muscle, she emitted a soft radiance. Sarah walked gracefully to her and began her charm. It went smooth as butter, and princess was deeply allured by Sarah's movement and charisma. A flashback occurred in the next scene, Sarah and Daud were having an argument regarding her job.

Reading Hardwired, Chapter II.

The meeting with Cunningham went well. He offered Sarah a generous amount of payment in either Dollars, gold, stocks or drugs. Also, some insider news of an artificial scarcity of a drug that would be orchestrated by Pifier. The exchange revealed that she wanted to take her brother to Orbital, so she accepted the job. The assignment was to make a girl fall in love with her.

Reading Hardwired, Chapter II

Sarah took a taxi home from the bar. The endorphins were wearing off so she took another small dose of endorphins to keep the pain away. Then her brother, Daud, got home. Dying for another dose of endorphins. She let him have one of her vials but warned him she needed the rest to pay for food and rent. And then she went to The Plastic Girl, stood at a table and waited for Cunningham.

Reading Hardwired, chapter II.

Sarah first met Cunningham in a bar called the Blue Silk. The owner was a West Indian who was on the losing side in the Rock War. Cunningham approached her for work, but Sarah told him this was not her work bar and was not happy about his presence. She told Maurice he was bothering her, and the owner turned on the bar's defensive systems, requesting him to leave.

Reading Hardwired, Chapter 2.

Sarah was introduced having a body desgin in a salon. The body designer, Firebud, made comments on her chinbone, nose and the scars. Her boss, Cunningham, sat silently behind in his brown suit, observing the process. Firebud didn't seem to like Sarah, but she listened to Cunningham. Sarah's scars were left alone as souvenirs. In the next scene, Sarah was on the hunt in The Aujourd'Qui.

Finished Hardwired, Chapter I.

While Warren was reassembling the pump, Cowboy hopped into the cockpit of one of his Delta. Began to reminisce about his days of being a jock, flying his delta over the night sky with the laws on his tail. His first delta was called Midnight Sun, but he changed its name once he'd figured out what was really going on. He slowly drifted into sleep while hearing the whirr of the lathe.

As Cowboy entered the hangar, three matte black deltas were looming above. And a Wurlitzer venting music at the side. Warren stood at his workbench, tinkering with a pump. He was an ex-military man who fought for Earth against orbital, but Earth lost the war. Cowboy talked about his next gig with anger. Warren replied that he didn't like Cowboy's client, Arkady, and said he was dodgy.

Reading Hardwired, chapter I.

The Cowboy was driving his Maserati to Colorado. Without using his hands and legs, he controlled the car with his neural interface, flying on the highway. As he arrived at a private strip, his backstory was told. He lived in New Mexico, where the Texans took all of the water from his land. Living in a dust bowl, the Dodger took him in and hired him as a smuggler in the sky.
