Cowboy met Roon, one of the Tempel's ex CEO. Roon was a terrible man, saying Cowboy and Earth were mud, and he and space were the vision. A really patronising man. Cowboy was imagining a scenario where he would break the glass in his hand and kill the bastard. He didn't do it because he had already made his compromise with this madness, this horror.

Cowoby called Dodger to report the situation. Some of the orbital mercs tried to set up an ambush for Dodger. But he saw it from a million miles away. It was resolved without much effort. After Arkady's death, an orbital guy called Calvert took over the operation. It sounded like he was much worse than Arkady. Cowboy figured it was Cunningham using a different name.

Sarah visited him brother Daud in the hospital. Accidentally, she found out that he's been getting endorphin doses in secret. Anger filled her veins, and she asked who provided him with the drugs. Duad reluctantly answered that a breaded nurse named Joseph sorted him out. Sarah went to the nurse and taught him a lesson. The nurse was terrified.

After Sarah and Cowboy finished with their business on the bed, she woke up and started shadow boxing in the middle of the room. He watched in his bed silently, then realised the Weasel, the cybersnake, was running its swift, deadly patterns in combination with Sarah's hand strikes. Fear filled him; his heart thrashed in his chest. He gave her plenty of room when she came back to bed.

Cowboy met Sarah upstairs in her small room. He told her that he had killed Arkady, and they might be able to win this war with a plan. Sarah seemed hesitant, thinking about the possibility of losing. But she joined forces with him nonetheless. She contacted Hetman to arrange a meeting for Cowboy the next day. At night, they spent the night together at Cowboy's room in Ritz Flop.

Cowboy and his Flash Force bodyguard sat in a car in front of the Blue Silk. Once another Flash Force man signalled the bar was safe, Cowboyboy loped through the cool, inviting door. He met Maurice inside and found out that he was a pilot too. They talked about flying for a while. As Cowboy brought up wanting to talk to Sarah. Maurice told him to go to the back and up the stairs.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 10

As Cowboy found Arkady's plane, he blasted it with its 30mm minigun. The burning plane fell from the sky with a single wing. Cowboy felt that was too easy; this mission was not worthy of Pony Express. But the mission will buy him and Dodger a breathing space. Sarah returned to her tiny room above the Blue Silk. A warmth surged as she got a message that Cowboy wanted to meet her.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 10

Cowboy dived into the libraries using a public phone. He was trying to get some leverage in the bureaucracy of Tempel. Letters from Reno's ghost flashed in his eyeface, and he panicked. He was scared and went home. On the other side, a failed trade of the crystals seemed to bridge a gap between Sarah and Hetsman. In the next interval, Cowboy was in the sky, hunting for Arkady.

Reading Hardwired - chapter 10

The crystaljock, Thibodaux, found out one of the tracers was from a person called Reno. Cowboy was awestruck, but he later dismissed it as a trick from his pursuers. Later, he tried to dig deeper into Tempel's organisational structure. And discovered an up-and-comer called Henri Couceiro usurped the seat of the chairman, and the old chairman was banished to South America.

Reading Hardwired - chapter 9

Jimi visited Cowboy and Dodger during their meeting. Dodger didn't like Jimi, thinking he was dodgy. When Jimi arrived, he told them he had blown up the Sandman and Chapel, dusting Arkady's crew with the panzer. Dodger admitted Jimi did a good job. Later, Cowboy hired a crystaljock to perform multiple-layered transfers to move his assets and money while removing orbital tracers.

Sarah found a temporary place to stay in Maurice's bar; she was thankful for the room. Cowboy drove his Parkard to visit the Dodger, who lived in a minor mountain, looking down on the eastern plains for a hundred miles. It was a fortress. After Cowboy dealt with the security, he saw Dodger in his sheepskin jacket over silk pyjamas. Cowboy was filled with joy meeting him.

In Cowboy's Hangar, Cowboy settled himself in the cockpit of one of his deltas. His presence triggered one of the alarms, so Warren came in to check. Once he knew it was Cowboy, he lowered his carbine. Warren told him everything he knew about the current situation. Cowboy was amazed by some of the news. He told Warren to prep the Detlas for a ride in the near future.

Cowboy found himself a new Packard with his travel money. They ride it to a train station where a Butte Bullet was waiting for Sarah. They both told each other the places where they could leave messages. Sarah kissed Cowboy in the neck and said goodbye.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 9

They arrived at one of the hideouts of Cowboy. It was a line shack filled with supplies of food, travelling money and a passport identifying Cowboy as a man named Gary Cooper. He retrieved a needle key for his deposit box in Butte. They stayed there for the night with kamikaze moths spiralling around the sunset flame of a kerosene lamp.

Finished Hardwired - Chapter 8

They finished their hitchhiking with the Silver Apaches. And hopped onto another truck going to the West. Turned out the two men on it were working for a cult called the Hounds of Christ. Cowboy pressed his gun against the driver's belly and told him to let them off. For the rest of the day, they didn't catch any ride. They slept in an abandoned barn for the rainy night.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 8

Since Cowboy and Sarah left their panzer behind. They hitched a ride with a biker gang called the Silver Apaches. The group camped by a riverbank after they destroyed a migrant camp. Turned out they were a group of Eithcial Nihilists, and Sarah was sick of them after a few conversations; she felt like the group's ideals didn't align with hers.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 8

Cowboy and Sarah hid in a brush-covered gully in Ohio after travelling a hundred miles. It's the end of the line for the panzer as it ran out of fuel. Cowboy urged Sarah to spit out what she knew about Korolev. She gave in to his tense gaze. The plan was to get to West ASAP. Cowboy had friends and resources there. The next destination for their journey was Montana.

Finished Hardwired - Chapter 7

Reno agreed to take some of the load off Cowboy and Sarah, he would use them as collateral for a loan. Reno told them to take a truck from the garage to move the crystals. Just when things started to look better. When they were moving back. A billow of smoke was rising over Reno's house, and orange flared on the underside of the cloud. They had no choice but to go back to the panzer.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter 7

Cowboy and Sarah moved to a boomtown, Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, where his ex-colleague, Reno, lived in the suburbs. They visited him in a polished alloy house. Cowboy proposed to sell the liquid crystals in his panzer to Reno. It caught Reno's interest. He proceeded to check the price online, accidentally finding that the stock price of Tempel had gone out. It startled Sarah.

Reading Hardwired - chapter 7

Sarah and Cowboy entered a tarven nearby, trying to make a call to their contacts. Cowboy found out that someone tried to kill Dodger, but he was alright. His wife told him to hide till the coast was clear. Sarah got a similar answer from Hetman. When they were leaving through a backalley. Sarah told Cowboy that the Bloc that tried to kill them was called Tempel Pharaceuticals I.G.

Reading Hardwired - Chapter VII

As Cowboy and Sarah were taking a break in a quiet swale studded with pine, they discussed their next move. Cowboy suggested waiting for the Dodger to send some transport to get them out. Because there was not much fuel and ammunition left in the panzer. Cowboy went back inside the panzer, scanning the broadcast. And his 3D face was being shown on the screamsheet.

Finished Hardwired - Chapter VI

The engine of the panzer purred, and it began to lurch forward. The armoured bow struck the limo dead-on. The white man hiding behind darted to one side. Sarah recognised he was Cunningham's driver. The limo was crumpled like a tin can. The panzer bounded off, headed for the ridge. There, the turret gun moaned again. Turning the unarmoured truck into a beehive, killed the two men.
