I identified Gabon early 20th century or late 19th more so it takes place in a jungle that is said to be bigger than France when combined with the urban and rural.

My first and only question for the author would be "Do the animals more so the chimpanzees understand the characters and or their actions?" I ask this because in the text it can support that the chimp may be smarter than they first realized.

The Genre of my book is a survival adventure with the main topic being about the preservation of animals.

Luc and the Odd Arab are still the protagonists and my favorite. For starters Luc reminds me of a younger me wanting anything to get my hands on something I wanted. But the Arab in the story is a complete character one who values scientific research but also the environment and the native species and inhabitants.

My favorite character so far would either be Luc the main character or the Odd Arab that saved Luc from Monsieur Tatagani the tax collector that use his family's hospital bills to control his debt along with feeding him and charging him. He's around the age of 10
