What an extraordinary book this is! It is an absolute gem. Swados was a compelling author. I was saddened to learn she died before her book was published. It is such an intriguing, compelling and intricate story with so many over lapping and intertwining tales. It is funny and fanciful, tragic and terrifying. This was what I imagine would be the outcome of Shawshank Redemption meets The Art of Racing in the Rain.
