Highly interesting that the first 205 pages can be considered a narrative analysis of the events that led up "A Season In Hell". Perhaps I've been spoiled in reading too many tried-and-true-by-history classical authors, but it is really insightful to read an author who maybe has written good books, but those that do not "compete", and see the subtleties in which they differ from a Steinbeck or, well, Rimbaud

I’ve been slogging through this book for months now and I’ve still only scratched the surface! Worth it for my favourite poet though, and the biography itself is spectacularly written.
