The first few chapters have already got me intrigued.

Just started this one and so far so good.

Too bad She's do random! She's actually the swing character, which is pretty bad...

Some intriguing/messed up things...Lena's rescue/change, Brand's explosion, the mysterious visitors...

So she's changed but Sam's special so she doesn't feel pain, then naked David feel bad for his blood when she's the dumb ***** who decided to hang in with them when he warned her they should leave!

Sam is not a bright girl... I gotta give David credit for trying to tell her but the stupid chick had to do things her way so she didn't have a choice in the end! I wish this were better written because it has so much potential!!

This deal is very contrived... It probably would have been the initial deal no negotiations needed... No need to kill off family when you can guarantee they be chosen either... And why does Dam act like she's been serving with David for a couple years and not a couple days...?

Doc and Adam's story was super cool! Loved the shaman angle! This is interesting... She's the biggest turn off, disappointing after such a cool opening scene...

So I get it's horrible the humans are controlling the Chosen in such a vile way (seems like vampires to incinerate them...) but they are quite bigoted to kill the humans in return! I liked how he escaped, it seemed genuine!

Interesting getting David's perspective... I wish it were more thought out... It felt random, oh I can't tell how he feels any other way do I'll just shove it in... Make a POV thoughtful and not just to suits whims of writing laziness...

Wow! Poor Julian and after learning about his band and sister!! Again, it's all about her... I thought is a neat way to lure them out if gruesome! The scuffle with the 2 drowned and her angst about the kid not having a chance to change was stupid!

I was really rooting for Sam until she became a quivering mess - does she want to be career Watch material or a mess of a woman for being yelled at?! I mean she has casual sex but is all a flutter at her admittedly crazy sex partner acting like a psycho ripping out his tracker and waving a gun! Ugh...
