This book needed another round of editing. At one point someone is described as standing up and “folding the garment” when absolutely no garment had been mentioned. Now the word ‘attention’ was used when ‘intention’ was meant. That’s just two examples. They are small mistakes but take the reader out of the story.

Mixed feelings on this one. I like both the hero and heroine. The story is a little different and interesting. I don’t like hearing the POV of the shallow sister who might (?) be a rival for the hero. And the writing style is a bit off as the author suddenly switches gears with no transition. I hope the pointless sister plotting to land the duke goes away soon.

This book is too similar to the first one but not in a good way. And this plot point with the sister is so annoying!!
