Book I, Essay III: "We are never 'at home': we are always outside ourselves."
Reading these first three essays, I realized how long it has been since I've had my hands on Montaigne's writing. Worldly and to the point: "each man should conform his principles to the size of his fortune." Bravery, cowardice, joy, sadness–all meaningless in excess and when we're in the grave.

This book is actually three books, a compilation of all 107 of Michel de Montaigne’s essays.
As of today, there are 152 days left in the year.
The goal is to finish this book by the end of 2026 by reading an essay per day. If I stick to it, I will have much time to spare.
Expect thoughts on each essay, even if it only a word or two.
Why? Well, why not?
