Status Updates From The Ombudsman

This is a story that needs to be told. I have myself seen awful abuse of the elderly. But for some reason I really cannot get 'into' this book. The author writes quite dispassionately, like it is a report rather than a novel. I am so far unable to connect with the characters.

I'm really intrigued by sone of the characters in here. My favorite one just gave me a big scare. I'm thinks there is much that our society really needs to pay attention to, in the pages of this book so far.

At first I felt like I had Alzheimer's because the chapters were short and kept moving in to new characters before developing the ones we were meeting, but now I'm starting to get a sense of who is who and remembering names. Going to keep going.
