this is actually wild never thought i’d enjoy a book about straight people arguing this much
things that come to mind:
- immediacy - this feels more present than the present tense, every second is acutely felt
- the characters are half people half caricatures but they’re people enough for the emotionality to it and for some part of it to feel “true.” i love how they play off each other

- passage of time is interesting in this - i almost feel like i can experience every second
- i think the small detail of him pouring poison on the leafcutter ants really helps ramp up the tension
- excited to see where this will go next now that they're entering the actual argument stage

kind of cool format - every chapter is just one run-on sentence
