Status Updates From The Marriage He Must Keep

You tell him! And mean it with your actions.

"She had been a complete doormat. It had to stop."

I sure hope so.

"He might be taking her side right now, but where had he been all these months? Funny how she’d thought marriage would offer her a chance at a real family, but she felt more alone than ever, despite having a child with him."

How sad. Hope H gets it together. Hope she makes him work for it.

"Her eyes stung and her heart hurt. “I wanted to feed him, but he needs his own mama and they wouldn’t give me mine...” Her words garbled into a choke of emotion as she and Sorcha clumsily exchanged infants."

Now that's some maternal instinct! Good thing both moms instinctively knew their babies were switched. H is still clueless.

"As stung as he was by her rejection of their son, as shocked as he was to see her throw a tantrum, something moved in him. Uncertainty. But she had to be wrong. Mixups didn’t happen. She was holding their baby. Wasn’t she?"

Not sure if h is slightly cuckoo from her post-preggo hormones or if she's right. H is a clueless & neglectful husband so far.

Phew! Where do I begin!?!? This is a good book. At this point I'm in shock to find that the hero still has family members that side with his cousin, who is very early in the book identified as the villain. I'm also disappointed that the hero trusted his cousin as much as he did given their history. The hero's mom is hilarious talking about her sex life. My next update will be a review of the entire book.
