As pretentious as this mf is, he is very sincere. He is set out to “demolish all his opinions” in order to construct new ones
(Im determined to annotate this book as little as possible. For me, annotations mean that I spend forever on one page. If I annotate I will never finish this book.)

I am rolling my eyes at myself too. As pretentious as I sound, I’m reading this book because I found the book in a box in San Francisco a few doors down from my old house. It has some annotations in it too.
I love how earnestly pretentious Descartes is. It’s so funny. He compares his work to the truthfulness of geometry, says only the metaphysically inclined will read this and calls atheists unintelligent.
