I asked Audible‘s Maven for a novel similar to Simon Beckett & this is what she (it?) recommended. Atm, there are 18,007 ratings wi/ an average of 4.32 ⭐️ & 935 reviews. So far….not so good. Heavy on the adverb for one thing. I searched the word “beautiful“ & found it used 18x in a 259 pages. (Kindle edition).Someone please tell me it gets better.
