Truly stunning how well-written and engaging this textbook is. Complex texts can be fun and interesting. A perfectly situated text to deconstruct and reconstruct the paradigm of leaders and leadership—taking into account a disruption of ideology and hegemony through critical social action.

Textbook for doc school intersession course. (This is the 1st edition, but I’m reading the 2nd.) It’s concise yet dense, academic yet hilarious. The author has a good, critical voice for this work. Impressed I’m enjoying a (seemingly though not in reality) stodgy textbook this much.

The chapters of this book are very long, but it’s a good read! I say that for two reasons a. I enjoy the topic and b. The author has made it easy to understand (mostly) and will interject with personal thoughts that are funny!
