It is very educational so far! I'm finding it handy to have random Civil War info in one place. I'm noticing, though, that other "Everyday Life" books have recommended reading at the end of each chapter. So far this one does not. :/

Good general source. Doesn't go into a lot of detail. I was surprised the 54th Mass. wasn't mentioned when discussing blacks in military action.
