Status Updates From The Harbinger: Books 1 - 4

35% in and just started "book 3". It starts with little vignettes of random people and all the terrible days they die. Just, wow. All I can say.

20% in and so far the book is pretty good. I'm not really enjoying the little bits of foreshadowing that the author keeps dribbling through. Such as "he had a bad feeling about..." or "little did they know that was the last time they would ever..." The author needs to show us those things instead of telling us.

I love the premise of the story, but so far the beginning with each character introduction has been a little clunky.

Oh, look. Here's a chapter in which various immune people, after surviving the flu, die in other horrible ways. Just like in The Stand.

Seems like I've read this before. Only it was 25 years ago. And it was by Stephen King. And it was called The Stand.

So addictive, I keep waiting for the main group to cather up. Will they? Who of their accompanies will die out? Aries the wolfdog gotta stay alive! Such a cool adding. Are some of the mc's developing some kind of superpowers? Such cool questions along the way. Whee!

I normally not into a dystopia-zombies-apocalypse, but I pretty much enjoyed it. It was very entertaining.

I have no idea how the author is going to solve this mess. I hope anyway that the good guys will win at the end. BUT FGS HOW?!
Soon, very soon I'll find it out.

The plot thickens as the monster-virus starts to present itself. I am not fond of the mc's - yet. I suppose The Harbringer has a lot different writing style that I'm used to, it's entirely told not shown. But addictive none the less. Some problematic stuff so far. Has the author confused submissive and bottom terms? They are thrown in quite blasely without any explanation. Small niggle.
