Full disclosure: I am now hate-reading biographies that feature Ernest Hemingway. Because I loathe him.

And if any of them could go more than two pages without some other hideously contrived nickname popping up, that would be great.

I feel like this book is a little bit too factual to sustain my attention when I'm listening to it. My mind tends to wander elsewhere, maybe it would be better to read it on paper. I like the parts that describe the customs of the era Martha lived in and how she transgressed them. I don't feel like I understand her personality yet.
