Status Updates From The Rat Collector (Age of E...

I keep trying to finish this book, but for such a short audiobook it feels like it goes on and on.
I will admit there's some obvious plotting here. The author just didn't have the writing technique or characterization to back it up.
Also the narrator didn't clean up his background noise as well as I'm used to. There's bits of background sound here and there.

While still extremely choppy and awkward, the writing has warmed up a bit from the first few chapters. I was tempted to DNF, but I'll push through since it's relatively short anyway.
