Status Updates From Vera (Elizabeth von Arnim)

I read the first 14 chapters and can’t finish. It’s terrible. Everard is seems like an emotionally abusive suppressed pedo and Lucy is too juvenile to carry the story. Too many instances of “my baby” and “my little girl.” I’m not comfortable with how attracted he is to her BECAUSE she looks “like a 12 year old boy.”
