I'm at the end of "Part 2: The Lost World," when Edward Cope sends a cable/telegram to Johnson's family saying Johnson and three others were killed by the Sioux (155). Is it strange the steamboat is called, "Lizzie B." (153)? I think of Lizzie Borden? Recall it was in 1841 when Richard Owen, a physician/anatomist, termed the fossils as those of "Dinosauria"/"terrible lizards" (109). "Elizabeth Rex," by Findley?

Crichton's, "Dragon Teeth," is intriguing because it's factual: Johnson has written in his journal what dinner with "two giants of paleontological science" was like. Scientific context of 19th-20th centuries is useful. A little skeptical about gap between 2008-2017, as if it's by a ghostwriter? I wouldn't know if I haven't read anything by Crichton. I have "The Andromeda Evolution," by Wilson, but didn't read it yet.
