I'm beginning to regret trying to rush this. Hazlitt is a good writer, but very prolix. He is constantly saying the same thing three or four times.
AND I conscientiously went back and read the first five essays, which I had no notes on.
Reading for pleasure should never seem like a chore. 77 percent of a 400 pp. book means 75 pages to go.
